30 days and counting!

My boyfriend, James and I are now on our final countdown to our departure date – the start of 9 months of travelling, adventure and learning! It has suddenly come round so fast.. I had a countdown on my phone from the moment my career break from work was approved, and it began at way over 200 days, yet suddenly out of nowhere my fancy app tells me it’s merely 30 days until my goodbyes at work and my final weekend with family and friends! Eeeek!

Although this has been an exciting realisation it’s also been a bit of a kick in the backside to get ourselves into gear! It’s a reminder that in two weeks we need to leave our lovely home, and before we can do that we need to pack it into boxes and distribute things accordingly to many lovely friends and family members. There is also the fact that we still need to finalise just a few minor details that need to be done before departure (like visas and travel insurance – nothing major!) oops.
